Hey Noodle fans, I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated my blog, but I’m going to be honest and say I’ve been very lazy with it. I also have worked nearly 40 hours each week at Ruby Tuesday which mentally is a drain on me. So let’s play a little catch up. In the two and a half months since I last updated I haven’t really done much more than work, I have seen the return of Jason Robinson to Harrisonburg and that has been a great few weeks since he’s been back.
I’ve also noticed that media has turned to the name Chuck this summer, with the movies I Now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry and Good Luck Chuck, and the new NBC show simply named Chuck. I’m not sure why this is happening, but I’m pretty sure it has something to do with Chuck Norris.
Well I suppose that’s all I have for now, and let’s hope it’s not another two months before I blog again.
So I have this friend named Timing, and honestly he’s an asshole. He’s that guy that backwashes in your drink, slaps you in the balls and sticks his dick in the mash potatoes at a party. When we go out to eat heĀ seems to forget his wallet every time, and when he does remember to bring it, he’s always short by like $10. During movies, which somehow he has seen everyone ever made, it’s very common place for him to scream out the ending and ruin it for you. With all that Timing does wrong you ask, “why keep him as a friend?”, and simply I hope one day he will pay me back and make things work out for me. So far he’s about 26 years off of doing just that.
So my long fought battle with Comcast seems to be coming to an end. After I spent 4 hours on the phone with them today I finally received the call I was waiting for, the call that hopefully will bring closure to this situation. I was called by the office manager at the Harrisonburg office and was told that I shall be getting a reimbursement for the services that I didn’t have for the past 6 weeks. If this actually turns out to be the case I will have worked Comcast for $173. Now I’m not saying that we didn’t deserve this credit, but I am very surprised that we are getting it, seeing how they were only willing to give me $50 yesterday. I think my threats to go to satellite like our neighbors seemed to play a huge part in it. My next challenge is to get the two MASN channels on our network layout so I can watch O’s and Nat’s games at home. Apparently the word from the local office is that’s not going to happen anytime soon, how the hell man? I mean the closest sports teams we have here are JMU sports, and the closest professional teams are in the DC metropolitan area. I want to be able to see their games, is that too much to ask? Seriously.
So yesterday I had an appointment with Comcast to come look at our HD box and internet because both have been on the fritz for about 6 weeks now. Apparently they do block scheduling with their techs, and my block was 10-12. I woke up at 9:30 this morning (this with going to bed very late after a very nice conversation with Amanda) so that I would be up when they came to check everything out. I received a phone call a little after 10 asking if we were still having troubles and if I still wanted them to come look at things, I of course said yes on both accounts. So I waited around for someone to come by, but when 12 o’clock started to grow near I called to make sure someone was still coming out and the lady confirmed that someone would be here before noon. Well noon came and passed and as I watched some television the box went out once again so I called back, this time the lady said they had been out and I assured her no one had been here. She apologized and said someone would call me to either comeback out yesterday or set a new appointment. Fine, not much I can do but wait for a new time, so I figured that I would run my errands and if they called I would comeback if they had time to do it then. Well I did all my errands and returned without having received a phone call, but I tried to show some patience with them realizing I’m not their only client. As the end of the work day neared an end I decided that I needed to take action once again, so another call to Comcast, my third of the day, but it lasted three seconds because as soon as I started my rant I was hung up on. Now fueled with even more rage I called back and this time I meant business. I was marvelous, I yelled without raising my voice, I got a $25 credit by saying my day wasted on waiting on them, and with a little bluffing I believe I might have gotten myself a credit for the last 6 weeks. I’ve had no real problems overall with my services on the Comcast network, but their billing and customer service has been terrible to put it lightly. I don’t think that Comcast is a Nazi ran or Nazi friendly company, but I do think that Hitler might be their president.
Be Polite
a. Never curse around her
b. Open doors: into buildings, to cars, but not to the restroom.
c. Offer assistance, but do not expect anything in return.
Be Honest
a. Never say to her what she wants to hear over what she needs to hear.
b. Never cheat, don’t even consider it.
Listen
a. Nothing says you care more than listening to her.
b. Listening will help you understand her and maybe yourself better.
Be Upfront
a. If you have something on your mind (other than sex) you should share it with her.
i. also if it involves how hot another woman looks like, it’s probably best not to mention that, in fact you should not probably be looking at other women that way.
b. If the unfortunate happens and you feel things are not working out, talk with her. if you really ever cared about her you’ll want to keep her as a friend, and letting everything go to hell is not a good way of doing that.
